Let us collect memories and preserve them in writing.
11.12.2016 – Big waves, motor boat stopped working, stranded for a while, trekked a little – but definitely a fun and exciting day! Our motor boat stopped working due to big waves on our way to Masasa. Fortunately, we already crossed a near island and the waves brought us there. We transferred to another motor boat going to Tingloy town proper. From there, we rode a tricycle and trekked for about 15-20 minutes to reach the beach in Masasa. We are here (in blue tent)! Photo courtesy of my brother-in-law. Hi Ian! Thanks for this :) There are no fancy accommodations, restaurants and public comfort rooms in this island. However, there are some private residences (about 15 minutes walk) where you can rent a room for an overnight stay or use their private bathroom if you want to have a decent bath after swimming. But bringing your own tent, food, drinks, fully charged power bank, flashlight and other basic necessities is ideal in this island setting. Watching sunset and sunrise here would be beautiful. And don’t worry, there is a cellular network signal here. See slideshow for some of my random photos: This may be an underrated beach for now but I think this can be the next Boracay (or even better) if this will be developed. Have you visited this beach already? Share your unique experience with us. If not, you may want to include Masasa in your next beach bouncing! Keep on exploring, Nija
